The Golden Hour Studio, LLC is committed to ensuring that our website and retreat experiences are welcoming and accessible to all people, regardless of ability, identity, or circumstance. We believe that grief does not discriminate, and neither do our spaces.
Website Accessibility
We are actively working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. While we are in the process of improving our website’s accessibility, we are committed to making information available to all visitors. If you encounter any barriers on our Site, please let us know so we can address them.
Retreat Accessibility
We are committed to creating retreat experiences that are as inclusive as possible. Current accommodations and practices include:
- Written recaps: Session summaries and key materials are available in written format for participants who benefit from text-based processing.
- Low-sensory options: We offer alternative participation structures for individuals who experience sensory sensitivity, including the option to step back from high-stimulation activities.
- Dietary accommodations: We work with venue partners to accommodate dietary needs including allergies, intolerances, and cultural or religious food practices.
- Mobility considerations: We assess each venue for mobility access and will communicate any physical limitations of a venue prior to enrollment.
- Gender and identity inclusion: Our retreats are explicitly welcoming to all genders, identities, relationship structures, and cultural backgrounds. Our grief containers do not require participants to conform to any particular identity or timeline of grief.
Requesting an Accommodation
If you require an accommodation not listed above, or if you have questions about accessibility before enrolling, we invite you to reach out. We will do our best to meet your needs or connect you with an offering that is a better fit.
To request an accommodation: email us at connect@thegoldenhourstu.com. A follow-up call may be scheduled if your request requires additional conversation. We ask that accommodation requests be submitted as early as possible, ideally no fewer than 30 days before the retreat start date, so we have adequate time to make appropriate arrangements.
Ongoing Commitment
Accessibility at The Golden Hour Studio is not a checklist — it is an ongoing practice. We welcome feedback, questions, and honest conversation about how we can do better. Please reach out to us at connect@thegoldenhourstu.com at any time.
