We understand that life circumstances, especially those shaped by grief and loss, can shift unexpectedly. This policy is designed to honor that reality while also protecting the financial integrity of The Golden Hour Studio, LLC, which allows us to continue holding space for our community.
Important: All deposits are non-refundable regardless of cancellation timing. By submitting a deposit, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total retreat cost is required to secure your place. This deposit is applied toward your total balance and is not refundable under any circumstances, including cancellation, illness, or personal emergency.
Refund Schedule
The following schedule applies to the remaining 70% of your retreat balance (excluding the non-refundable deposit):

Retreat Credits
Credits issued under the 30–59 day window are valid for 12 months from the original retreat start date and may be applied to any future Golden Hour Studio retreat. Credits may be transferred one time only and are not redeemable for cash.
How to Cancel
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to connect@thegoldenhourstu.com. Cancellations are effective upon written confirmation from The Golden Hour Studio, LLC. Verbal cancellations are not accepted. The cancellation date is determined by the date we receive your written request, not the date of your original booking.
Transfer of Enrollment
You may request to transfer your enrollment to another individual prior to the retreat start date, subject to approval by The Golden Hour Studio, LLC. Transfer requests must be submitted in writing no fewer than 30 days before the retreat and may be subject to an administrative fee. Transferred enrollments are non-refundable.
Cancellation by The Golden Hour Studio
In the event that The Golden Hour Studio, LLC must cancel a retreat due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to facilitator illness, natural disaster, venue closure, government travel restrictions, or geopolitical instability, enrolled participants will receive a full credit toward a future retreat or a full refund of all amounts paid minus any unrecoverable third-party costs (such as non-refundable venue deposits or international booking fees). We are not responsible for participant travel costs, including flights, accommodations, or visas, in the event of a cancellation.
Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all retreat participants purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including trip cancellation, medical, and emergency evacuation coverage, prior to making any non-refundable travel arrangements. The Golden Hour Studio, LLC assumes no responsibility for unrecovered travel costs in the event of cancellation by any party.
